Participation

  1. The use of hand and power tools and working in our workshop is at your own risk.

  2. The courses and workshops are designed to allow you to produce a finished product within the allotted time. However, it is your own responsibility to achieve a satisfactory result. After the course, you are no longer entitled to materials, tools, or guidance.

  3. The registration fee includes materials, unless otherwise stated. If you'd like to use materials other than those we've selected, we can agree on an additional fee.

  4. You can store your product at Buurman's for the duration of the course. After the final lesson, you can take the finished product home with you.

Bookings and cancellations

  1. If you are unable to participate in the (entire) course after registering:

    • Up to 8 weeks in advance you will receive your registration fee back and we charge €50,- including VAT administration costs.

    • Between 8 and 4 weeks in advance we charge 50% of the registration fee.

    • Less than 4 weeks in advance you pay 100% of the registration fee.

    • You can have someone else take your place for the entire course if they are a good fit for the target group. Buurman may exclude the possibility of a substitute.

  2. If you are unable to attend part of the course after registering:

    • Unfortunately, it is not possible to make up for a course lesson or get a refund for it.

  3. If you are unable to attend a workshop after registering:

    • Up to 8 weeks in advance we charge 50% of the registration fee.

    • Between 8 and 4 weeks we charge 75% of the registration fee.

    • Less than 4 weeks in advance: we charge 100% of the registration fee.

    • You can have someone else participate in your place if they are a good fit for the target group. The option of a substitute may be waived by Buurman.

    • Buurman reserves the right to cancel the course or workshop up to 72 hours in advance. We will work to find an alternative date or other suitable solution. If we can't reach an agreement, a refund of the registration fee is also possible.

Privacy

  1. After payment, your neighbor may contact you by email about your visit to our workshop.

  2. Buurman handles personal data with care and we never share it with third parties without permission.

Damage to property

  1. In the event of damage to Buurman's property due to gross negligence on the part of a participant, such as intentional destruction or unreasonable use, we may recover the costs from the participant.

  2. Buurman is not liable for damage to or theft of participants' property during the workshop.
