Furniture Making Course Level 2

Take your DIY skills to the next level with our Level 2 Woodworking course. We'll delve into joints and wood types, and you'll learn how to use various tools. Plus, you'll go home with a handmade cabinet!

Please note: for this course it is important that you already master the use of the plunge saw and crosscut saw.

The Level 2 Furniture Making course consists of six evenings. We'll cover theory and immediately put it into practice. During these weeks, you'll design, prep, assemble, glue, and finish your cabinet under supervision.

The cabinet we'll be making in this course has a playful design and allows for your own customizations. We're happy to brainstorm with you on how to do this. One compartment in the cabinet will have a door or drawer system. We'll be working with various saws and router bits, so the course also includes various tool instructions. Ultimately, you'll assemble a custom-built cabinet with all connections invisible!

You can choose whether your design will be a wall-mounted cabinet or a floor-standing one. Can you already picture your record collection, favorite books, plant collection, or travel souvenirs in your custom-made cabinet? Keep in mind that the cabinet is made with secondhand wood. The course is primarily about developing skills; your first custom-built cabinet doesn't have to be perfect!

- Working with different saws and a biscuit joiner
- Making invisible connections
- Making drawers
- Applying various tools

Tools : including edge router, lamellar router and plunge saw.
Duration : 6 x 7:00 PM - 9:30 PM
Costs : €350 (including materials, guidance and coffee/tea)

Tickets for this course are tied to fixed times on designated evenings. If, during your course, you find you need more time or can't attend every evening, please consult your instructor about catching up independently by renting a workshop. There is a fee for renting a workshop.
