This is the ideal introductory course for anyone who wants to learn DIY. During the course, we'll start by building a small cabinet.
How does a tree grow? What's the difference between MDF and plywood? Between Torx and Phillips head wood? And which machine do you use for what? In two lessons, you'll learn what types of wood there are, how to process them, which materials are used for what, and how to make joints. The cabinet is designed to cover all the basic techniques, from dimensioning and sawing to sanding.
At Buurman, reuse is central. During the course, you'll work with different types of (waste) wood, and we'll show you how to draw inspiration from the materials you have available.
Tools : including cordless drills, plunge saw, crosscut saw
Duration : 2 x 11:00 - 16:00
Participants : max. 6 students
