Design and create furniture with minimal resources and maximum creativity. Ideal for teams who enjoy challenges in collaboration, sustainability, and ingenuity.
You'll be divided into teams and given a random task, such as a bedside table, stool, or side table. The challenge? You have to adhere to strict design requirements: a limited number of cuts, screws, planks, etc. This workshop is a crash course in circular thinking, collaboration, and smart material management. Perfect for those who want to combine sustainability with creativity and teamwork.

Can I temporarily store my material at Buurman?
In principle, you take materials with you immediately after purchase. Unfortunately, we don't have the space to store materials for you. There are a few exceptions: if you buy materials that we'll deliver or cut to size for you, we'll temporarily set them aside. If you're looking for a quote for a larger quantity, we'd be happy to discuss it with you and arrange something.
Does Buurman Amsterdam deliver to homes?
Your purchase doesn't fit in your car and you live in Amsterdam Noord? No problem! For €75, we'll deliver your items right to your door. It's easy, and you don't need to rent a van. Just ask in the store.
Can I have material cut to size by you?
Yes, provided the material was purchased from us. We'll perform simple cuts for you immediately or within a week. We charge a start-up fee of €10 for the first 10 minutes, followed by €1 per minute. All costs are negotiable.
Which materials can I pay for online?
You can already arrange a small selection online. Gift vouchers (to make someone else happy through circularity), workshops (to get started yourself), and for all other materials: come by and choose from our changing selection.
Where do your materials come from?
Our wood and building materials are rescued from the waste pile. They are local, circular, and unique. Materials with a story. For example, from local museums, recycling centers, or wood suppliers. In our store, you'll also find leftover materials from wood producers or project construction, making them suitable for larger projects in and around the home or office. I want large volumes. Is that possible?
Absolutely! Buurman is also available for professional makers and larger projects. For large quantities, we're happy to provide a customized quote. We can also hold materials aside for you or deliver them to you. Contact us and we'll see what's possible.
